HUD CoCBuilds Local Funding Competition
The El Dorado Continuum of Care (CoC) is requesting project applications from agencies who have capacity to add new units of permanent supportive housing (PSH) within El Dorado County through new construction, acquisition, or rehabilitation using one-time Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) CoCBuilds Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) funds. These units must serve individuals with a disability and families where at least one household member has a disability and is experiencing homelessness. The El Dorado CoC can only select one project in an amount up to $5 million to submit to HUD for funding. While only one project application per CoC may be submitted, where feasible, HUD encourages inclusion of one or more subrecipients that will contribute towards the goals of the NOFO. The El Dorado CoC can submit a second application up to $7.5 million total if the new PSH units are constructed, rehabilitated, or acquired on Tribal reservations or trust lands. The CoC asks that all interested parties review the below application and timeline and then submit an application; details for which are below.
